Northlake Smoke Shop (“Northlake Smoke Shop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, shop in our store at 18 N Wolf Rd, Northlake, IL 60164, place an order through a third-party delivery partner, or otherwise interact with our Services. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

  • Information you provide: name, age, date of birth, government-issued ID information used for age verification, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and the contents of any message you send us.
  • Order & transaction data: products ordered, order history, in-store loyalty activity, and amounts paid. Payment card details are processed by our payment processors and third-party platforms (such as Saucey) and are not stored on our servers.
  • Automatic data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and similar usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Location data: approximate location derived from your IP address, used to determine whether we deliver to your area.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • verify that you are at least 21 years of age, as required by federal and Illinois law;
  • process and fulfill orders, including coordinating delivery with third-party platforms;
  • communicate with you about orders, support requests, and service updates;
  • send you marketing communications, deals, and product updates if you have opted in (you can opt out at any time);
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and store experience;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, underage purchase attempts, and other unlawful activity;
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations under Illinois and federal law.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers: payment processors, delivery platforms (such as Saucey), website hosting and analytics providers, email and SMS providers, and IT vendors, each bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal & safety: law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or violations of these Terms.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient will be required to honor this Policy.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to remember your preferences (such as the result of our 21+ age gate), measure traffic, and improve our Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the Services, including the age gate.

5. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails & SMS: opt out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or replying STOP to any marketing text message.
  • Access, correction & deletion: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing yazan.salama@yahoo.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law, including the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/) and, for biometric data (if any), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14/).
  • Do Not Track: our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations under Illinois and federal law, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Age-verification records are retained for the period required by applicable law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are strictly intended for adults 21 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, and we never knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 21, we will promptly delete it.

9. Illinois Residents — Additional Disclosures

If you are an Illinois resident, you may have additional rights under the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/), including the right to be notified in the event of a data breach involving your unencrypted personal information. You may also have rights under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14/) if we ever collect biometric identifiers from you. We do not currently collect biometric identifiers.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and platforms (including Saucey, social media, and brand partners). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Effective Date” at the top of this page and will be effective as soon as it is posted. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
